SEATTLE MET'S GENEROCITY
2017
In celebration of Seattle being one of the most generous cities in the country, Seattle Met's GeneroCity is an annual showcase of 40 local nonprofits making a difference both locally and globally. Volunteer-fair meets cocktail party, GeneroCity brings together philanthropic business leaders, new Seattle residents, and young professionals eager to connect with the nonprofits and find ways to get involved with their local, national, and global fundraising efforts. In 2017, GeneroCity took over the Living Computer Museum, with nonprofits and sponsors spread throughout the museums three floors and hands-on exhibitions. Featuring welcome cocktails, REYKA ice bar, Negronis on tap, live DJs, a Chair-Ity raffle, delicious hors d’oeuvres (including mega bytes macaroni bar and keyboard key photo transferred desserts), caricature artists, photo booths, and puppies, GeneroCity's 1000+ guests engaged with the organizations who's work deserves to be honored in a no-ask atmosphere of generosity.
